   Craig, Great review. Really enjoyed how articulate you were with your depiction of the movie. Sean Penn is an all timer. I only saw Rourke from the other nominated roles but I might check this one out as well. Be well.

   Totally agree. Milk was a great film, not Van Sant’s best, but easily the most accessible in a long while. But you’re right, I think Sean Penn’s performance was not as impressive as Rourke’s. If Mickey doesn’t win, I will actually be shocked.

   @Arthur If you are a Penn fan and enjoy good storytelling biopics, this is one to see. Gus Van Sant does a great job of introducing this important character and telling his story.

   @Anders Van Sant likes to bring a more artsy feel to his movies and it shows in here, I thought he pulled it off. I think Rourke deserves in and want him to win. The academy doesn’t like him though, so its a tough call. Clearly it’s between those two, anyone else would be a huge upset.

   As i said I would be, I’m shocked. Rourke was in a league of his own; he seemed like a shoe-in to me. Only real upset of then night.

   @Anders I was pulling for Rourke badly and def thought he deserved it over Penn. That was one role that if you put any other actor in it, it would have been an average movie, he made it great. Can’t say that about too many scenes, that role will forever be him and his identity. Wouldn’t call it an upset, Penn was the favorite and clearly the Academy likes him over Rourke. Wasn’t surprised at all it went to Penn.

   @Everyone, Penn with the upset. Definitely the best part of the night. Finally an award won somebody nobody expected. Penn now has 2 in the arsenal.
