Forbes just released their list of the top 100 bankable stars voted on by members of the global entertainment industry.  To be honest, I have no idea what being a member of this criteria necessarily means since it seems very vague, or the standard on which they voted on and made this list.  From a simple man’s view point, it really seems like another way of saying the top money making stars of today.  If this is correct, boy is their list a load of crap.  They nailed it with the #1 star, who of course is one of my favorites, Will Smith.  I mean the man made a movie that bombed in all reviews, and still he managed to pull in just under $100 million.  And it makes sense.  Black people love him, and white people aren’t scared of him, and he has all the goods to make it work in every way possible.  Here is the top 10.

wall e movie download Again, not sure how they determined these and how they ended up with a 4 way tie, seems pretty pointless to me that way.  How is Johnny Depp so high?  Fantastic actor sure, but other than the Pirate movies, he does a lot of quirky and weird roles that are smaller pictures.  Tom Hanks?  I love the guy and one of my favorite quotes of all time is “Did anyone ever tell you, you look like a penis with a little cap on,” but that was in the early 90′s.  I wouldn’t consider Charlie Wilson’s War a blockbuster, he hasn’t had the same success recently.  Clooney?  Yes secretly I hope I have his hair and charm when I am older, but he is involved with a lot of smaller films.  His movies are critically acclaimed, but not real money makers other than the Ocean movies.

This basically seems like another pointless list that was put out just to give people something to gossip about.  Let me know what you guys think of the list?  Who would you move up and down?
