@Kyle That prevented me from first signing up for Netflix. I do enjoy the human interaction and the renting experience of walking around the store, browsing, and finally making a selection. The lack of older movies, blu-ray, and the costs eventually lead me to Netflix. I still miss the renting experience, but have saved a lot of money and have seen movies that I never would have seen if I went to Blockbuster. For that reason I really enjoy Netflix.

I feel the same way as Ivy. I have constant opportunities to subscribe to Netflix, especially recently with their deal with Xbox Live. But on a weekday night when I have a some time to do nothing there is something special about driving down to Blockbuster and physically renting my favorite movies or maybe something I haven't seen before. Kind of like a kid going to Disney World for the first time. Although Netflix would save me much needed money I can't see myself giving up that "human interaction".

Kyle’s last blog post..T.V. shows that should be movies

@Ivy - I agree with your point on human interaction. As technology improves it seems that human interaction decreases. Pretty much a direct correlation. Take text messaging for example. It has completely wiped out actual conversations.

I'm glad you like Netflix. I wish somebody told me to sign up years ago. It's a cheap convenient way to keep up to speed with movies.

I joined Netflix awhile back, and for years now I have been going and back and forth between periods where I am sending back and getting new DVDs all the time, or forgetting I have them out and just not using it at all. But since Instant Watch became available for Macs, Netflix has completely taken over my life. I'm constantly watching stuff online now and really taking advantage of the membership. But I was just talking to my friend about how sad it is that the age of the video store is coming to an end. As incredible as the internet is, we can't forget that human interaction is also pretty awesome too.
