Wolverine Has Been Leaked to the Web

Yesterday was April Fool’s day but this is one story that the studio wishes was a practical joke. The much anticipated summer blockbuster Wolverine starring Hugh Jackman has been leaked to the web.

The quality has been noted to be near DVD and has been released through P2P torrent outlets.

Movies being leaked is nothing new but with this being anticipated as a huge hit and with it being such good quality, Hollywood is getting scared about how the movie could make its way around long before opening day.

Apparently the leak version of the movie has a run time of 106 minutes

, about 15 minutes shorter than the theatrical release. Reports say they are still tweaking last minute post production touches on the movie that are not in this leaked version.

Fox legal is doing everything in its power to stop the flow of the leaked movie as best as they can. They will be able to slow down the drive of the leak, but once a movie like this is out and about, it won’t fully be stopped.

I don’t think the leak will hurt the opening weekend box office gross. Too many people do not know about the leak or how to obtain it, and a lot of those who may watch the leaked version will still end up seeing it in theaters. Some movies you could watch on any size screen or quality, but a blockbuster like this requires the big screen for the ultimate experience, and I still believe fans will flock to theaters in May.
