Full Trailer for The Road

Cormac McCarthy wrote the book to Oscar winning best movie No Country for Old Men. Although never reading the book which I hear is excellent I did see the movie and completely disagreed with it winning best picture. It was slow in the beginning and the end left a lot of questions although I did have my own meanings for the metaphor. Either way, this post isn’t about that, that banter can be held for another discussion, one I randomely actually had two nights ago.
Unbreakable move This new trailer is for the latest Cormac McCarthy book called The Road which will star Viggo Mortensen. The world is in ruins after an apocalyptic event that is never described. A father and his son are walking south in an attempt to escape the increasingly cold, endless winter.
It’s All About Love move I did get the chance to read this book and to be honest, it wasn’t one of my favorites books. It was slow, drawn out, never really breaking with actions or scenes and you don’t even find out the characters names. In much of the way No Country was, this adaptation should be of a similar pace. Although it has a great cast and I am curious to see how the director plays this movie out, I am not looking forward to this one the way I am others. I will not give away the story or what happens I just don’t know if there is a lot in it for me based after my reading of the book.
All Roads Lead Home film I am not sure what to think of the trailer though, because I have the movie envisioned in my head to play out one way, but the trailer kind of gives another impression. Was it just cut this way for effects? Or is it going to be more of an action flick than I suspect and they are going to ruin the heart of the book? The book is about the bond between father and son on this journey, not an action flick. How will they handle it?

I read the book. It was awesome. From what I have heard the movie is fairly faithful to the book meaning the movie will be both disturbing and graphic.

@Travis I read the book but honestly it was not my favorite, I found it boring at times. They should keep the movie true to the book and not go over the top with effects and make it something that it is not.
