Snap Video Review of Terminator Salvation

The war we have all been waiting for, it’s finally here, Skynet vs. the resistance.  Led by no other than Christian Bale taking the role of John Connor over in a move to keep his A-list status alive, although he seems to still be caught in Dark Knight mode with his raspy voice.  The early reviews of Terminator Salvation

the movie were mixed but but this is Christian Bale and a the beginning of a new Terminator Trilogy in what has already been a blockbuster May 2009 movie lineup.  Does it fit the bill?……Eh.  Bale gets plenty of practice yelling being he screamed at a cameraman non-stop during the filming of the movie one day on set.  The film has all the action, special effects, sound effects that make up a summer blockbuster, but just doesn’t have the substance and story to make it something special.  This is the type of you get what you expect kind of movies so being this is the first of a planned trilogy, I wonder what fans will think and if the studio may even be in trouble.

    1. I agree with you. Though the special effects are decnt, the story wasn’t where it should be. BUt I feel Bale DID try, as dramatic as he can be sometimes.

    2. @Candice I was surprised the story wasn’t more directly about Connor, it seemed to drift, I was expecting more I agree with you. Curious how they are going to extend the new trilogy. Bale did try hard and think he’s an excellent actor. Just seemed too many times like he was using the Batman voice.
