Catching up with The Dark Knight

The Natural psp This past Saturday, June 13th, HBO premiered “The Dark Knight
” on cable television. The network has been constantly promoting the movie over the past couple weeks and probably picked this weekend because of no major movie premiering. Yes, Pelham 123 came out but I wouldn’t consider it a major opening. However, the movie received pretty decent reviews surprisingly but debuted at number 3 for the weekend taking in $25 million.
If you missed the first showing of “The Dark Knight” Saturday do not be alarmed. It was on all day Sunday and I’m sure it will be on every night this week. HBO tends to play a movie constantly for like 3-4 weeks and then moves on to the next one. I caught a little bit of it on Sunday and watching it on television is still pretty cool, especially in HD. It’s definitely a movie you can pick up at any point while it’s on.
The Dark Knight is a good film. The hype last Summer for it was completely out of control. For this, it is not as good as people think it is. Check out this link
Bad Boys download to see why I think the film is overrated.
Regardless if it is overrated or not, it is still fun to watch. Look out for it on HBO over the next week or so.

wow…I definietly don’t think this movie is ovwerrated at all. It was fantstic, and definitely one of the best caper films or even action films I’ve ever seen. There was an actual story, not just a bunch of gunfire. And, with the exception of perhaps Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger was astonishing for the role of the Joker, didn’t think he had it in him to be quite honest.
ddin’t know this was running on HBo already. I have the movie on dvd but i will deinitely be watching it on HBo this week. Thansk for the heads up.
@Candice, Appreciate the feedback. Like I said, I think the Dark Knight was a lot of fun and enjoyable. I compare it only to Batman Begins, which I think was a lot better. Better story and more gritty. Channel surf over the next couple weeks and you’ll be sure to catch it on HBO. Keep Bantering
