@Candice,

Also wanted to say, I highly respect your opinions. From briefly blogging with you over the past couple weeks, it is obvious that you are very good at describing the good/bad parts of movies and why you liked them. We may not always agree but you consistently make fair and clear points to each movie we discuss. We greatly appreciate your feedback. You can write for us anytime.

Thanks

@Candice,
You are right. I was too quick to judge. The film was about as straight forward as can be. Good guy vs Bad Guy, big vs small, nothing to out there. However, I think the day to day struggles that each character faces humanized the film and made the viewer be able to connect to the onscreen people. Tony Scott was able to deliver as well. If I were to rate this movie, I'd say about a 7.5. Very good, definitely left satisfied.

interesting update on a previous post. this new post provides more info on the movie. i actually thought the constant zoom out of the city was kind of redundant. Basically the plot spans a very stressful one hour in new york city, but we didn't need to be reminded of where the setting was. love the countdown though. it did provide a certain edge-of-your-seat element. It was an enjoyable film.
