Snap Review of My Sister#039;s Keeper

My Sister’s Keeper is one of those movies that could really have an impact on someone.  Starring Cameron Diaz (Sara) and Jason Patric (Brian) who playthe parents of their daughter Katie who is dying of cancer.  With no one in the family as a donor match, not even her younger brother, the parents decide to have a test tube baby created to ensure that there will be genetic matching, and the donor baby could help keep her sister alive.

This works great for 11 years until Katie’s kidneys fail, and they need to take a kidney from her younger sister Anna (Abigail Breslin).  After years of acting as a donor child, Anna hires a lawyer (Alec Baldwin) to sue her parents for the rights to her own body, which would mean death for her older sister.

This is a sensitive and controversial topic and although it’s more a chick movie, guys could be amused by the hard hitting topic.  Get your tissues out for this one, guaranteed to have watery eyes at some point in the movie and the soundtrack just leads the way for tears.  For those who loved the book, the ending of the movie was changed.
