The Batman 3 Rumor Mill

The follow up to “The Dark Knight” has been in the center of some recent rumor mill discussion. First, Gary Oldman informs us that untitled “Dark Knight” sequel will begin shooting in 2010. Nick gave us the scoop on this event in his recap of ComicCon. Well, if you thought that was juicy, well wait to you hear about this.

Cyrus apparently auditioned in the Batgirl suit in front of the-powers-that-be at Warner Bros and made an impression. It has been reported that even if they don’t cast the character in the next movie, there is potential interest in giving her a future role in the series. Well, I really hope this is a complete joke. It must be. I do have a couple thoughts on this rumor though.
1. The world Nolan created does not need a Batgirl. It will completely make a mockery of this new Batman series.
2. They shouldn’t even cast a Robin, let alone a Batgirl.
3. Even if they make the poor decision to cast a Batgirl, Miley Cyrus? Really? There are far better candidates…ie: Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley, even Eliza Cuthbert (Kim Bauer) would be a better choice. Also, if you havent’ heard, Keira quit the Pirates 4 project. Also, as of a couple days ago, so did Orlando Bloom. Dracula
Anyways, this is probably just a foolish rumor. Perhaps the studio wanted to get the new film in the news to begin the long awaited hype. Looks like it worked. News on the title of the movie has yet to be released. “Caped Crusader” anyone????

Yeah. No Batgirl. Not even worth discussing. I don’t know how this rumor started but without Nolan officially attached to the project can they begin auditoning. Furthermore, Nolan is off filming Inception. This is a complete rumor and a bad one at that.
No I don’t want to see Robin in batman 3. However I do think Dick Grayson has had an interesting enough character arc to warrant his own less expensive trilogy down the road. Also I would love to see an attempt at Tim drake on film but it won’t be in a Nolan film.

I hope there be a batgirl…why would the gkal want to go to a movie where there are no hot biddies present? I mean, who wants to watch some bro dressed in a tight batman costume for two hours straight? The gkal votes yes to a batgirl. He also hopes that there will be a few nude scenes…holla
Yeah, I agree no Batgirl! I think this would take away from the progress they have made. It would almost take it back to the original batman movies back in the 90′s
