It has finally arrived, the new themoviebanter.com design is here.  We want to welcome you all to the new era of TheMovieBanter.  We hope you all like the new design as we have really tried to improve our website.  Before I go into the new additions and enhanced features, I want to thank Bharadwaj Parthasarath, Harish Raghavan and their team who were instrumental in completing this transition.  For those who are interested in their services, you can reach Bharadwaj at teraom@teraom.com Confessions of a Pop Performer dvd , and Harish at haripaddu@gmail.com.

So lets go through some of the new things.

1. Banter Radar – You can see this on the sidebar below Snap Reviews.  Banter Radar will be a constantly updated section where we will list the upcoming movies that we are excited for and highly anticipated DVD/Blu Ray’s that will be coming out. Additionally, we will include certain movies that HBO/Showtime/Starz are repeatedly airing, that we have been watching.

2. Favorite Posts – a new section listing all the most read posts.

3. Icons

– you can see all the new icons on top of the sidebar. If you want to reach either Matt or Craig on Twitter, or get in touch with us on Facebook you can click those links and will be taken directly to those pages. Additionally, you can get to our youtube page to see all our video reviews, sign up for the RSS Feed, or sign up for RSS Email.

4. Categories – this will list all the sections we are organizing our posts into. It will be easier for you to check out older posts especially all our Rants and Reviews. You will be able to see them all listed out in order of when we posted them.

5. There is also a new feature where you can Tweet, Digg, Plurk

etc the post. This is listed below each post and is for your convenience to send out our links.

6. Compatible in all browsers – the biggest reason for changing the design was that our old design was not fully compatible with Internet Explorer.  Now, all Banter fans will be able to view the same website no matter what browser you use as the new site is compatible in all browsers. This was very important to us.

7. You can buy your movie tickets, movie goods, sport tickets – check out the ads on the top right to buy all your movie and sports related items.

8. Blogroll – for our fellow bloggers, we want to maintain good relations.  This section will allow you to view other blogs we have close relations with.

9. The new header - we hope you like it

FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS – do not see The Orphan which opens up on Friday. This is the most generic looking horror movie in a while. Instead, check out “The Ugly Truth,” which looks like a pretty funny romantic comedy starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler.We mentioned this in our July 2009 Lineup post, and we are sticking by it.
