REDDITIn 1999 an underground small time movie about Boston Irish vigilantes was released and slowly picked up steam to become a cult classic among college students across the country. The movie was Boondock Saints, and was a staple to every dorm room along with the poster for many students. The bloody unique movie became a hit and resonated with students especially the chilling monologue at the end of the movie.
For years there have always been rumors about a sequel being developed to the cult hit that fans were eagerly awaiting. A website was developed and rumors were treading fast about the proposed sequel. Well now the time has come and it is finally here. Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day will be releasing this fall a full decade after the original came out.

I’m happy thee movie is finally coming out but wish it did earlier. Still considered a cult classic, I’m not sure it will have the same appeal it once had. I remember reading about this years ago and the fact that it took so long makes me think there were issues with the script, story, and production. Never a good sign to delay a sequel so long and even though the trailer looks pretty cool it’s more of a way for an independent distributor to make easy money off a brand, the same way big studios are doing with remakes and all these sequels.
