Tolkien Family and New Line settles Lawsuit – The Hobbit Coming?

According to themovieblog.com the ongoing lawsuit between the Tolkien Estate and New Line Cinema has settled. The litigation was involved over the Tolkiens family’s claim that New Line had not fairly distributed profits of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. As such, they filed a lawsuit against New Line seeking damages. Fear over this lawsuit caused many to think that “The Hobbit” would be a stalled project. Fear no more.
Cinemablend.com says “The Hobbit finally has a full-fledged green light. You may have forgotten amidst the casting news and slew of rumors, but The Tolkien Trust was battling it out with New Line Cinema in court for failing to pay 7.5 percent of the gross receipts from the Lord of the Rings
. The parties have since settled their differences and now the project it lawsuit-free.”

The Big Empty move Well now this delay proves to be more like a speed bump. With the lawsuit over, peace is back in Middle Earth.
I am very excited about the end of this lawsuit. Now, New Line, Peter Jackson, and Guillermo Del Toro can finally get underway with these movies. With the prime characters casted, the movie is set for shooting. As a big fan of the Lord of the Rings, I await in anticipation for “The Hobbit” movies.
Who is else is pumped for these movies?
