Cera vs Eisenberg

Finkle and Einhorn…Einhorn and Finkle. Guess what, Einhorn turned out to be Finkle. In this case, Eisenberg is Cera. However, Cera came first, Cera is funnier, Cera trademarked the role, and thus Cera wins the race.
Bell Book and Candle dvd Why is Jesse Eisenberg trying to be Michael Cera? Is he a former field goal kicker who opted for a sex change to seek revenge on Dan Marino? Or is his management trying to hijack the persona that Michael Cera so brilliantly created? It boggles my mind that two fairly recognizable faces in Hollywood are technically the same person. Don’t actors pride themselves on being unique? On being special? On being able to offer something that others cannot? Glance over the A-List – Depp, Will Smith, Crowe, Pitt, Cruise, Clooney, Norton – all are different and all have something unique to offer.
Jesse Eisenberg has been in two feature films in the past year: “Adventureland” and “Zombieland.” Both parts he played are characters that were essentially built for Michael Cera. It seems as if the producers can’t get Cera, they book Eisenberg. Would “Zombieland” be any better if Cera starred opposite Harrelson. Hmmm, maybe a little. But honestly, Harrelson drove the movie, not Eisenberg. Either way, I’m just confused to why two actors are essentially the same person.
What bothers me most is that Cera came first, so Eisenberg just looks lame. It’s like hes’ trying to be Cera. Yes, despite the lack of additional benefit Cera would’ve offered “Zombieland,” he is still the original awkward teenager looking to get laid. Eisenberg is just stealing that role.
Sure, Cera is being offered bigger roles these days (i.e. Year One, Youth in Revolt, and Arrested Development) so maybe it’s creating a demand for the smaller roles he once filled. Let’s say Cera passes on “Zombieland,” Eisenberg would naturally be next in line for the role. So if Cera isn’t even looking at these roles anymore, then they will be naturally offered to Eisenberg.
How are more people not acknowledging this? Regardless of them being the same person, Eisenberg is a B rated Michael Cera who is just going to be offered the left overs. He’s like the friend in your group who is willing to hook up with the ugly girl. Everyone needs one of those. As long as he keeps taking Cera’s leftovers, or roles that everyone expects to see Cera in, then Eisenberg will never create his own identity.
What do you think?

don’t think Cera came first. Cera broke out first, but he didn’t come first. Eisenberg was “being” Cera before Cera was even known. People should just accept that they have similar personalities and are both being versions of themselves.
Yeah, Eisenberg came first, I believe. Or was at least noticed first. Remember The Squid And The Whale? Cera broke out in Superbad.
I have been saying this every since I watched Adventureland. I was like, man he reminds me of Michael Cera. I kind of miss Cera in movies like that because its just weird to have two socially awkward guys doing well in hollywood.
