Early Reviews on New Moon

Ok, I’ll admit it, I’m not at all excited to see this movie. One, I never read the books, and two, I liked this story better when it was called Harry Potter. Anyways, I know the rest of the world is absolutely in love with this story. Both kids and adults have already either seen the movie at midnight or have tickets to see it for sometime this weekend. Thus, it is my duty to report what some of the critics are saying.
So before I do that, all I’m saying is that this movie has been receiving not-so-hot feedback. Rotten Tomatoes at this exact moment
, has it at a 30%. Of course this is subject to change, but 30% uhhhhh SUCKS. Sorry to dissapoint; not that it will matter though. This movie is bound to clock $100 million this weekend.
Roger Ebert says – “The characters in this movie should be arrested for loitering with intent to moan. Never have teenagers been in greater need of a jump-start. Granted some of them are more than 100 years old, but still: their charisma is by Madame Tussaud.” Click here for a full a review.
A Bunch of Amateurs full movie Richard Roeper
says - ”Despite his 107 years on the planet, Edward Cullen doesn’t seen to have absorbed much in the way of wisdom, maturity or ingenuity. I mean, here he is, repeating senior year in high school for something like the 90th time, and he’s STILL a petulant, self-absorbed teenager, sitting in the back of the class and scoffing at yet another lesson about “Romeo and Juliet.” You’d think by now he would have figured out a way to pass himself off as a young-looking 21-year-old rock star—or hey, maybe he could put his supernatural skills to use by turning himself into a better golfer than Tiger Woods. Anything to break the monotony.” Click here for a full review.
Kenneth Turan of the LA Times says – “This is the last time you’ll ever see me,” Edward Cullen says to Bella Swan. As if…..”Edward is as good as his word and “New Moon” suffers as a result. Constrained by the plot of the novel, the film keeps the two lovers apart for quite a spell, robbing the project of the crazy-in-love energy that made “Twilight,” the first entry in the series, such a guilty pleasure.” Click here Dead Poets Society movie download for a full review.
There are 3 opinions. All of which are not so good.
Nick will be seeing it this weekend and will post his review as soon as he does.

I have tickets for Sunday, but at the Arclight so I don’t have to get there early and fight the Twi-tards for seats. I am going into this fully embracing the irony, and intend to just laugh my ass off the whole time. It will be my MST3K/B-movie guilty pleasure of the year.

I didn’t seen ‘the Movie’, but i think it is a science fiction story.
