Although Pirates of the Caribbean 4 has not even begun production, there has been much talk over the past months about its stars and progress. With known stars from the first two Pirates movies Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley having no interest in continuing the series made a lot of fans wonder how they could continue. As long as you have captain Jack Sparrow played by Johnny Depp the franchise could continue forever. A few months ago Depp came out saying that he did not want to take part in the 5th and 6th Pirates that were planned and even talked about dropping out of Pirates 4 if the write script and story were not in place.
The Puppet Masters ipod Although for now it seems that Depp is still in for the 4th installment, there are still questions about the money making Pirates franchise that has yet to begun production although it already have a summer 2011 release date.
A Haunting in Connecticut download Ever After buy Bruckheimer who produces the movie as well as every other movie and TV show on the planet was asked several questions regarding the future of the movies from Steve Weintraub of Collider. The simple 3 straight to the point questions for Bruckheimer were
1. What’s up with the script?
2. When are they going to shoot the film? Hoodwinked! psp
3. Did the regime change at Disney cause any problems?
Bruckheimer gave simple cookie cutter answers saying that there is a script (rumors are that it is based off of a book), they are going to start shooting next year, and that the regime change did not cause any problems. Not a lot to work with as expected.
I personally did not see the 2nd and 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean movies because they looked long and terrible and way too much over the top CGI and got bad reviews to boot. I loved the first movie and is a favorite of mine, a movie that any time its on TV I have to stop and watch. But a 4th? C’mon. They will make a ton of money off of it since it is established but it will be bad. Even though Bloom and Knightley don’t have too many big movies coming there way they were both clearly smart enough to get off this series and began looking elsewhere. You know the series is in jeopardy when Depp is considering not doing it. If Depp somehow changes his mind and pulls out I cannot imagine how this movie will be made, although Hollywood will still put some scrub in there because they know they are guaranteed millions regardless of script, reviews, actors. Bruckheimer has so many projects in production, who knows how he can make time for this, or maybe he really just puts his name on it and doesn’t actually do anything.
