Downey Jr. is one of the coolest guys to watch on screen. The guy has more fun with his job than most actors I have seen. If not, then he’s one hell of an actor – which he also is by the way. He has more fun playing Tony Stark than Mark Cuban has excuses for losing to the Spurs.  This Friday launches an early start to the 2010 Summer movie season.  Each year around this time I feel myself getting amped up with anticipation for the hot Summer blockbusters. I guess you can attribute some of that to trailers, marketing, and working in Times Square. As I type this, I’m staring at the huge Iron Man 2 banner hanging from the Regal cinema. And this time, Regal is launching a special RPX type screen according to the banner – (another episode of 3-d movies enhancing the overall quality of what we get to see movies on).

Anyways, I believe the original Iron Man, other than the new Nolan Batman’s, is the best comic book movie around. The cast was great, the action was superb and the acting was even pretty good. Whether Terrence Howard is back or not, honestly who cares. Don Cheadle is a good replacement, but they could have cast my dog and I still would have seen this movie. Iron Man 2, also directed by Favreau, is going to be great. Early reviews say its not as good as numero uno, but hey, that is a tough benchmark.

We all know this movie is going to be great Summer fun. I hope you all hit theaters Friday to watch Tony Stark and company rip apart the competition.
