Yesterday a test screening for the latest Potter flick Deathly Hallows Part I was shown before an eager Chicago crowd. A lot has been revealed, and thanks to Potter fan site The Leaky Cauldron we’ve got a bunch of info on the project’s secrets – like where the two-parter is cut at. Take a look at some of the bullet points below, and be warned, MAJOR SPOILERS ahead:

–  Run time is about 2 ½ hours.
–  The “final split” of the first movie will be where Voldemort takes Dumbledore’s Elder Wand from his grave.
–  Few flashbacks tell the origin of Horcruxes and the Hallows, which include Dumbledore and Slughorn.
–  “Ron’s turn against Harry and Hermione builds throughout the first half, his leaving is very dramatic.”
–  Dobby makes a comeback.
–  “When Ron is destroying the Horcrux, Harry and Hermione appear as silver porcelain figures, taunting Ron.  The engage in a very sensual kiss, which ignites Ron into destroying the Horcrux.”
–  The movie officially ends, and I quote “with Voldemort going to a small island where Dumbledore’s tomb is set; he cracks open the white marble, stares into the blank face of Dumbledore, and takes his wand.”

Folks, there’s no doubt both halves of this final entry into the series will be massive and definitely worth checking out. And judging from various mini-reviews I’ve been hearing it’s the darkest, and best, Harry Potter movie to date.
