Disney’s Fall Movie Preview
Posted by Matt Rosenberg on August 12, 2010 at 11:05 am
Disney has 6 movies coming out this Fall, quite a slate for one studio. Among the Fall Disney films is the highly anticipated Secretariat starring Diane Lane and John Malkovich and the hyped film Tron: Legacy starring reigning Oscar champ Jeff Bridges. Since Disney also owns Miramax and Touchstone, those films are also included on the list.
“You Again” (Touchstone Pictures) U.S. release date: September 24
“Secretariat” – (Walt Disney Pictures) U.S. release date: October 8
“Tangled” – (Walt Disney Pictures) U.S. release date: November 24 in Disney Digital 3D
“The Tempest” – (Touchstone Pictures/U.S. release date: December 10 (N.Y. & L.A.) Miramax Films) December 17 (limited expansion)
“TRON: Legacy” (Walt Disney Pictures) U.S. release date: December 17 in Disney Digital 3D and IMAX 3D
“The Debt” (Miramax Films) U.S. release date: December 29

“Tron: Legacy”, easy.
Def looking forward to Tron Legacy, going to be so cool in 3D cause it will be done right.
I’m really excited to see Tron: Legacy, but also interested to see how Tangled fares at the box office in an extremely saturated weekend. Anyone else think the studio should go back to summer time releases for the animated films, to leave the holiday season for the big dogs (Harry Potter, Oscar contenders, etc.)? Think about how Princess and the Frog did last year, too.
