But his tenacious agent knew in his gut that Josh was perfect for the role of Llewelyn Moss. He kept calling producer Scott Rudin to plead Brolin’s case. He even tracked down Ethan Coen’s cell phone number and started calling him there. Finally, the Coens agreed to meet with this then-kinda-unknown actor, and they were completely blown away. Ethan Coen emailed Rudin to let him know that they’ve finally found the perfect leading actor, Josh Brolin; they could now begin production. The rest is history…
