For those of you that are unaware, this Summer we will see the remake of the 1985 cult favorite ‘Fright Night.’ The original starring Chris Sarandon is a comedy-horror picture about a teenager who discovers his new next-door neighbor is a vampire and no one will believe him. The remake seems to follow the same storyline with Colin Farrell stepping in for Chris Sarandon as the vampire next-door and Anton Yelchin (Star Trek reboot) stepping in as the teenage boy. I personally have never seen the original but it currently sits at 93% on movie-critic site Rotten Tomatoes, so it’s interesting that they are remaking this so soon. Be that as it may, the cast for this one is intriguing (Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Toni Colette are also on board) and now we have our first stills for the film giving us a look at Farrell as a vampire.
