It’s January again and that means two things for movies, the studios release their worst films in what is known as “dump month,” and the Golden Globe (“GG”) Awards take place! So in honor of next Sunday’s 69^th Annual Golden Globe Awards show, I have decided to showcase my favorite quote from the past ceremonies.

Believe it or not, my favorite quote in the history of the GG Awards took place just last year courtesy of the always-lovable Robert Downey Jr. when he presented the award for Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical. It was a pretty lengthy speech for someone that was just presenting an award but it was definitely worth it.

Right after taking a little dig at host Ricky Gervais he takes a moment to discuss a recent study he has done in Hollywood. “I don’t know if an actress can do her best work until I have slept with her.” He then proceeds to list all of the nominated actresses (including youngster Emma Stone) and recalls stories of when they turned him down for sex.
