Happy Friday, everyone! If you’re anything like me, when it comes to the end of the week, I have no real anticipation for work– instead, all I really think about after waking up is having some fun, watching some movies, and, oh yeah, dinosaurs. Well, I certainly hope you are something like me, because if so don’t I just have the perfect Friday news for you! That’s right Banterers, straight from Deadline’s mouth to your burning ears: Jurassic Park 4 is really going to happen. Like really really?

Yes! While this definitely isn’t the first glimpse we’ve had of another installment of the Jurassic Park series coming at us, it definitely seems to be the most likely and secure since news of beloved author (and scribe of the books the first two movies were based on) Michael Crichton dying. If you remember correctly, Steven Spielberg was all about making that franchise page turner but ducked out after news of Crichton’s untimely death hit.

Well luckily we don’t have to wonder anymore what another movie would look like, because according to Deadline, Universal has put a Jurassic Park 4 into action! This is very exciting indeed! But just how serious is this project? Well, serious enough that Universal has signed two scriptwriters to the deal: a one Rick Jaffa and a one Amanda Silver.

Those names don’t really mean all that much to you, huh? Please, allow me to explain: Jaffa and Silver are only the writers behind the James Franco and primate (one in the same?) hit Rise of the Planet of the Apes as well as the upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. That’s right, Banterers! Those two geniuses (to put it lightly) will be in charge of creating a story line for our beloved dinosaurs. I don’t hate it! In fact, I love it! I love it so much!

And as if the news couldn’t get any better, it will, because apparently Steven Spielberg’s production company. While it looks like he won’t be directing the sure-to-be hit, he will be backing it. This is certainly a good Friday indeed!
