We are Craig Kessler and Matt Rosenberg and we co-founded TheMovieBanter.com in January 2009.  On TheMovieBanter.com we discuss the ins, outs, personal stories, and all movie movie related issues.  We will review movies in theaters, chat about old movies, provide a channel for you to voice your opinions, talk about social media’s impact on movies, cover festivals, and rant about miscellaneous industry related topics.

Matt Rosenberg – Co-Founder/Editor

I am a Long Island bred New Yorker who graduated from Washington University in St Louis in 2007.  I have one sister, who like me, spent her college years in the Mid-west.

My passions in life, while there are many, include both sports and movies.  I am huge NY Yankees, Giants and Knicks fan.  I am that stubborn Yankees fan who still thinks Derek Jeter is the best player on the team and holds onto the glory years of the mid to late 1990′s. 2009 Champs as well.

Watching movies is one of my favorite things to do. I love talking about them, critiquing them, quoting them, and researching them.  Whether its cheering for Rocky (every time he’s fighting Apollo) or screaming for Maximus to kill Commodus, movies have become a huge part of my life.

My Favorite Movies are: The Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, Rocky, The Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects, The Matrix, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and Something the Lord Made.

I am a Los Angeles native who has been spending the last few years in New York going to school.

I love Movies and TV shows with twist endings unless they are The Happening.

I don’t think Tarantino can make a bad film or Springsteen can make a bad album.  This is on the basis that they are just physically not able to.
